albumhhHarry Hornsey has devoted over a decade to perfecting the guitar and vocal techniques of his pre-war blues heroes such as Blind Blake, Blind Lemon Jefferson and Robert Johnson, a journey that has lead him to explore not only the music but also the history and culture of this inspiring period.

Along the way he has hand built his own instruments to recreate the sound that is now only available on recordings as well as seeking out lessons from US blues musicians such as Paul Rishell and Ari Eisinger. This has given him a unique insight into this genre and, combined with a powerful performance style, has made him a favourite of the Brighton blues scene.

Harry also attended some vocal workshops led by the First Lady of Gospel Dr. Ethel Caffie-Austin which had a strong influence on his singing style.
